Speedy B strap on a pochette?

I got my LV speedy B35 with the intention of using the strap with my pochette. Is that weird? Does it look bad? I admit the strap does look kind of thick but I think it is still cute! I definitely did not want to put out another $200 to buy the strap! (the pochette only cost me $250ish at the time)
